Embracing the Charm of Wisconsin

We can’t help but gush about the reasons why we adore Wisconsin. From its stunning lakes to its vibrant culture and mouthwatering food, this state has captured our hearts and become an integral part of our company’s story. Join us as we dive into the specific aspects that make Wisconsin so special and unique.

Lakes Galore

One of the first things that stole our hearts about Wisconsin is its abundant lakes. In Madison, we find solace in sipping our morning coffee while overlooking the serene Lake Monona. And oh, the joy of setting sail on Mendota, Monona and Wingra using our family pass at Brittingham Boats! Wisconsin’s lakes offer endless opportunities for relaxation, exploration, and creating lasting memories.

Arts & Rustic Charm

Be sure to bring your own lawn chair when experiencing the intimate atmosphere of Sh*tty Barn. Spring Green, WI

Wisconsin’s culture is a tapestry that beautifully weaves together rustic charm and artistic expression. In Spring Green, a small town with big character, we’ve found ourselves tapping our feet to acoustic live music at the unique Sh*tty Barn. For a touch of the classics, the American Players Theater presents enchanting Shakespearean plays that transport us to a different era. And let’s not forget the picturesque Door County, which we think of as a fusion of Sonoma wine country and Upper Peninsula nature, beckons us to wander through cherry orchards and indulge in bocce ball, or wander through the shores of Peninsula State Park.

Food, Drink, & Cheese, oh my!

Wisconsin proudly boasts a strong food culture, and we can’t help but join in the gastronomic celebration:

  • Bite into a delectable kringle pastry, a Racine, Wisconsin specialty that oozes with flaky goodness.
  • Our taste buds rejoice at the mention of Colectivo Coffee, a Milwaukee gem on the shores of Lake Michigan that brews up some of the most memorable cups of joe.
  • And how could we forget the iconic cheese curds from every other restaurateur or mouthwatering burgers from Culver’s?

Wisconsin’s culinary traditions truly know how to satisfy our cravings and leave us wanting more.

Activities & Festivals Galore

Summer Wednesdays in Madison: Concerts on the Square

In Wisconsin, leisure is a way of life. We eagerly anticipate Wednesdays in Madison when the Chamber Orchestra graces the square, inviting us to bask in the melodies while we relax on blankets, savoring wine and the company of friends. Summerfest in Milwaukee is a legendary extravaganza, drawing music enthusiasts from far and wide. And for those seeking a unique adventure, Bike the Barns takes us on a 50-mile journey, with barns serving as pit stops for delightful food and refreshing breaks. Meanwhile, ChalkFest in Eau Claire presents a whimsical display of artistry and community spirit, exemplifying the distinct charm of Wisconsin’s festivals.

Nature Is Always Close By

The untouched beauty of Wisconsin’s nature captivates us, and nowhere is this more evident than in the paper bark birch trees gracing the up north woods or the stunning bluffs and hills in Wisconsin’s driftless region (not to mention world-famous Devil’s Lake). Escaping to a cozy cabin nestled in the northern woods, whether for a tranquil winter week or a peaceful summer weekend, offers us a respite from the hectic pace of life. The sense of calm and connection with nature in northern Wisconsin is unmatched, making it a haven for those seeking solace and rejuvenation.

Wisconsin, with its picturesque lakes, vibrant culture, tantalizing food, lively festivals, and serene natural landscapes, has won over our hearts. From sipping coffee by Lake Monona to immersing ourselves in the arts of Spring Green and reveling in the state’s delicious culinary delights, every experience here feels like a warm embrace. We hope sharing some of our experiences in the state has warmed your heart and brightened your day.

In closing, we leave you with a Wisconsin haiku:

Lake’s gentle embrace,
Wisconsin’s charm fills the air,
My heart finds its home.
